15 Colorado Businesses Included on Inc 500 List of Fastest Growing Businesses

According to the most recent “Inc. 500” list of the fastest growing businesses in the nation, Colorado is home to 15 of the country’s fastest growing companies. These figures represent an increase from last year, at which time the state was home to 14 of the fastest growing companies. In 2008, 12 businesses made the list, while 11 businesses were included on the list in 2007.

When developing the list, Inc. magazine primarily focused on the rate of revenue growth each company experienced from 2006 through 2009 rather than the company’s total revenue. As such, the list tends to favor smaller companies that have experienced rapid growth. Ayuda Management of Broomfield, for example, is a general contractor employing 45 people. Founded in 2001, the company was the highest-ranking Colorado company on the list. Other Colorado businesses included on the list include:

• Travelers Haven (ranked number 90) – located in Denver and providing business products and services industry, Travelers Haven enjoyed $4.9 million in revenue reflecting a 2,750% growth.
• Rentbits.com (ranked number 178) – located in Englewood and involved in the real estate industry, rentbits.com enjoyed $2.2 million in revenue reflecting a 1,580% growth.
• Vivax Pro Painting (ranked number 292) – located in Littleton and involved in the construction industry, Vivax Pro Painting enjoyed $3 million in revenue reflecting a 1,040% growth.
• Eco-Products (ranked number 297) – located in Boulder and involved in the manufacturing industry, Eco-Products enjoyed $47.5 million in revenue reflecting a 1,012% growth.
• IP5280 Communications (ranked number 208) – located in Englewood and involved in the telecommunications industry, IP5280 Communications enjoyed $5.5 million in revenue reflecting a 977% growth.
• DrillSpot.com (ranked number 323) – located in Boulder and involved in the retail industry, DrillSpot.com enjoyed $10.1 million in revenue reflecting 918% growth.
• RTL Networks (ranked number 331) – located in Denver and involved in the IT services industry, RTL Networks enjoyed $15.3 million in revenue reflecting 900% growth.
• Professional Roofing and Exteriors (ranked number 353) – located in Arvada and involved in the construction industry, Professional Roofing and Exteriors enjoyed $9.2 million in revenue reflecting an 831% growth.
• StealthCom Solutions (ranked number 387) – located in Colorado Springs and involved in the government services industry, StealthCom Solutions enjoyed $2.1 million in revenue reflecting a 778% growth.
• OtterBox (ranked number 295) – located in Fort Collins and involved in the consumer products industry, OtterBox enjoyed $48.6 million in revenue reflecting a 744% growth.
• EffectiveUI (ranked number 431) – located in Denver and involved in the software industry, EffectiveUI enjoyed $15.9 million in revenue reflecting a 694% growth.
• New West Technologies (ranked number 437) – located in Greenwood Village and involved in the government services industry, New West Technologies enjoyed $29.1 million in revenue reflecting a 687% growth.
• Cloud 9 Living (ranked number 468) – located in Boulder and involved in the business products and services industry, Cloud 9 Living enjoyed $2.4 million in revenue reflecting 642% growth.
• Delta Disaster Services (ranked number 482) – located in Arvada and involved in the construction industry, Arvada enjoyed $4.5 million in revenue reflecting a 619% growth.
