The Landmark's Mayan Theatre features many different types of films in an adult-oriented atmosphere. Films range from Foreign to Independent with everything in between. This theatre is part of the largest chain of theatres in the country dedicated to independent films. It's found among many art galleries, vintage clothing stores and restaurants in the very popular Baker District. It was built in 1930 and was almost demolished in the 1980s, but it's still open. After a $2 million renovation, the theatre became a three-screen palace with a beautiful auditorium and two smaller theatres upstairs.

The Juneteenth Music Festival is coming to Denver and will feature all types of events. This two-day event provides the city a chance to celebrate the diversity of the people and the culture of the city. Residents can come out and enjoy all kinds of musical performances, art exhibitions, food and more.

The Parade

A big part of the Juneteenth festival is the parade. This will kick off the weekend with performances from many different bands in the parade. It will start at Fuller Park at 10am. Floats will be judged in the first float competition this year and the top floats can win prizes.

The 42nd Annual Capitol Hill People's Fair will be held June 1st and 2nd at Civic Center Park. Many streets will be closed for this fair as the people of Denver enjoy arts and crafts, excellent food, plenty of entertainment and so much more. The artisans, musicians, fairgoers and volunteers have helped to raise over $1 million for local charities and the Greater Capitol Hill community through this fair.

Special areas will be designated as kid and family areas including exhibits found in the Kid's Corral. Families and children can enjoy the spin art and craft projects on display, along with plenty of kid-friendly activities. This is a free event featuring street-painting and over 200 artist on hand. The streets will be transformed into beautiful works of ark with chalk for the spectators to enjoy. This is one of the most unique experiences found throughout the city and will feature so much more than just art.

Friday Night Lights on Larimer will kick off the festival on Friday, May 31st from 6pm to 10pm. This kickoff party includes:

The total inventory of homes on the market in April 2013 was 315 homes. This is a drop of 2% from March 2013 when the figure was 321 homes. There is a decrease of 45% from April 2012, when total inventory was 572 homes, indicative of lower invetory of homes currently on the market as is seen across Denver area.

The median home listing price in April 2013 was $404,500. The median price was 1% different from March 2013. It is quite typical to see very small changes month to month. However, looking April 2012 figures, there is a jump of 18%. The median price in April 2012

Englewood is experiencing a very nice shift in the real estate market that is not thought to be temporary.  As the real estate market is in recovery, more and more home buyers are edging to the market. The snapshot for Englewood real estate trends and statistics for April 2013 is encouraging. Let’s take a closer look.

The total inventory of homes available on the market in April was 82 homes. This is 14% less than in March 2013 when the total figure was 96 homes. Compared April 2012 there was almost double the number of homes on the market with 159 homes.

The median home listing price in April was $252,000. In March 2013 the listing price was $245,000. Compared to April 2012 there is an increase of 12% from home listing price of $224,900.

Fort Collins real estate market has picked up over the past 15 months. Interest rates are low, homes are still affordable, and the economy is growing stronger each day.

The total inventory of homes on the market in April 2013 was 888 homes. This figure is up 9% from March when the total inventory of homes on the market was 836 homes. Compared to a year ago in April, the inventory decreased 21%. The number of homes on the market in April 2012 was 1,119. 

The median listing price in April $289.000. This is very similar to the median listing price of March, which was $294.500. Compared to a year ago in April there is an increase of 9%. The median list price in April 2012 was $265,000.
