    Friday, April 3rd, 2009 at 11:31am. 210 Views, 0 Comments.

Forbes Traveler rates Denver as one of the country’s Top 10 Golf Cities. What makes a great golf city?  Paul Rogers, senior editor at Travel & Leisure Golf, says "it starts with the concentration of courses—great golf cities have at least several good public courses along with private clubs that have history and some kind of golfing soul.”

“Denver has at least 10 quality public four-star courses that you can play for under 60 bucks," points out Travelin' Joe Passov, senior editor of Golf Magazine.

"You can feel like Superman here because you hit the ball a lot farther at 5,000 feet,” says Jon Rizzi, publisher of Colorado Avid Golfer, referring to Denver’s high elevation.

And the unique landscape adds to the golfing experience. For example, Arrowhead, a…

    Thursday, March 26th, 2009 at 3:30pm. 499 Views, 0 Comments.

Several lifestyle qualities make mid-size metropolitan cities an attractive alternative to living in a big city. Mid-size metro areas have between 250,000 and 1 million people and account for only 20 percent of the U.S. population.

A new bizjournals quality-of-life study ranked 124 mid-size metropolitan cities. Those with the highest scores had healthy economies, light traffic, moderate costs of living, impressive housing stocks and strong educational systems, reported G. Scott Thomas of bizjournals.

Provo, Utah, topped the list. Boulder, Colorado, came in second and Madison, Wisconsin, third.  Provo scored high its impressive inventory of big homes. It also has steady population growth, an unemployment rate typically two to three points below the…

Denver Tops The List Of Desirable Places

    Monday, February 2nd, 2009 at 8:17pm. 290 Views, 2 Comments.

According to CNN, the Pew Research Center recently reported that nearly half of Americans would like to live someplace else. Denver tops the list of places that many people would like to move.

Some of the reasons reported are Denver's low humidity, eight professional sports teams and proximity to the Rocky Mountains. Additional considerations in my opinion are Denver's 300 +/- days of sunshine and overall high quality of living.
