Here in Colorado…now what? (What to do with kids in the Front Range area.)
Posted by TheHomeCartTeam on Friday, May 4th, 2012 at 2:24pm.You’ve heard all about the 300 plus days of sunshine, the excellent schools and resilient job market, so you’ve made the move. You’ve relocated your family to Colorado. Now what? What is there to do here in Colorado with your kids? Plenty. Here in the Denver, Colorado Springs, Boulder area, – more commonly known as “The Front Range” – there is so much to do, especially for families. Whether you are looking for indoor fun or outdoor adventure the Front Range has it all.
Outdoor Activities
There’s a reason Colorado is the fittest state in the nation: you can be active outside 365 days a year. It’s true. Sure it may snow 10 inches in the morning, but wait a couple hours, the sun will come out, and by 11am you can be out and about. The Front Range has its share of zoos and various amusement parks, but this area also offers so many natural, outdoor fun adventures. From exploring Red Rocks, to discovering the wonder of The Garden of the Gods to taking the train to the top of Pike’s Peak, your kids won’t have time (or the energy) to complain about being bored.
Indoor Activities
We all get sick of sunshine, blue skies and fresh air…ok maybe not, but sometimes you just want to do something different. The Front Range offers plenty of exciting indoor activities for your family. If your kids have lots of energy, you can take them to one of the many indoor trampoline parks, where they are literally encouraged to jump off the walls, or another one of the various indoor activity parks. If you’re looking for a little more culture, the Denver Museum of Art always offers kid-friendly exhibits and the Nature and Science Museum is a perennial favorite. And we can’t forget the Wildlife Experience or the Butterfly Pavilion where kids can get their fill of nature, no sunscreen required.
The Front Range is wonderful place to raise a family. With so many different activities available – indoor and out – there are literally countless ways to make lasting memories with your children.
