Denver Comic Con is coming up and residents are getting pumped up for this exciting event. It’s happening May 23-25 with a Launch Night Opening ceremony on the 22nd. Take the RTD Transit to the Theatre District/Convention Center Station because the event is taking place in the Colorado Convention Center at 700 14th Street.

Along with big names guest appearances in Comic Books, Film and Television, Animation and Video Games, Comic Con will feature photos with celebrity guests, exhibitors and a great way to spend Memorial Day weekend. Here is a look at the upcoming event.

About Comic Con

It’s a three-day family friendly, pop culture fan convention with the Denver Comic Con and Literary Conference. You’ll experience the best in comics along with sci-fi and fantasy TV shows, Japanese animation, movies, cosplay, gaming, toys and panel presentations. Cosplay is fan-created costumes and costumed skits. Proceeds for the event will go towards benefitting the PCC’s educational endeavors.

While 2012 featured 27,700 people in attendance, 2013’s opening saw 61,000 people making it one of the Top Five biggest comic book conventions in the continent. In 2014, the third year attendance was at 86,500.


Tickets for Denver Comic Con will be sold by day, by adult and child and weekend passes. Saturday tickets for adults are $40 and children are $5.00 per day. Sunday and Monday adult tickets are $35 and a three day pass for children is $10.

Adult three-day passes are $65.00 and speed passes were $150 but sold out. Children are considered 2-11 years old while children under 2 will be admitted for free. Teens will have to purchase an adult priced ticket.


The convention is going to go from 10am-7pm on the 23rd and 24th with panels and screenings going from 10:30am-11pm. Monday’s show floor is open 10am-5pm with 10:30am-11pm open for panels and screenings. You’ll see big names including:
