The Community of Crestmoor Park

This is an older suburban-city neighborhood where civic and community pride is evidenced by large fashionable homes, and small mansions, surrounded by manicured lawns, with mature trees along quiet streets. Life here is sophisticated, without being pretentious. Residents of Crestmoor real estate are minutes from the Cherry Creek Shopping District, Lowry Town Center, and major transportation arteries.

Real estate in Crestmoor Park is defined entirely by single-family homes with none of the duplexes, apartments or condominiums found in neighboring communities. Given its location and the absence of any commercial real estate, Crestmoor neighborhood stands as an oasis of residential slendor, in an otherwise active portion of Southeast Denver. Homebuyers will find that older neo-classic, colonial and Tudor mansions inhabit the northern portions of Crestmoor real estate, while the more traditional ranchers and spit-level homes occupy its southern tier. New construction is plentiful in Crestmoor Park as more and more open land gives way to what is popularly referred to as the “contemporary mansion,” and home prices in Crestmoor Park compliment this new description for real estate here.

About Crestmoor Park, Colorado

The Air Force will soon turn over the final parcel of land to the Lowry re-development project, east of Monaco Parkway, and Crestmoor Park neighborhood. Residents here are not happy. Plans for high-density commercial and residential development on Lowry will likely add significant traffic to Monaco Parkway, and considerable congestion east of Crestmoor Park. Community leaders and organizers have petitioned Denver City officials to preserve the residential zoning status in Crestmoor, thereby preserving the reflective nature of this pleasant community. The jury is still out.
