The Community of East Colfax
The East Colfax area began as a boulevard on the outskirts of town, lined with trees and wide promenades. East Colfax was once reserved for the gentried in Denver, the socially and politically elite who made fortunes in silver, in the late 1800’s. Today East Colfax is, an area of the city where the recent renovation of City Park Esplanade at East High School, reflects the revitalization of Upper East Colfax, and speaks to yet another shift in the course of this area’s culture.
Neighborhoods surrounding East Colfax real estate vary considerably, with a wide range of diverse households, and a blend of architectural styles. Victorian mansions primed for renovation, stand side by side with condominiums and apartments offering full amenities.
