Indian Hills Homes and Living

Indian Hills began in the 1920s as a summer vacation destination. The unincorporated community’s excellent location in the beautiful Parmalee Gulch Valley and easy commuting distance to Denver spurred a transition from summer cabins to permanent residences. Bear Mountain, Lone Peak, Mount Falcon, and Bear Creek mark the boundaries of this unique community. In keeping to its rural roots, there are limited commercial enterprises in Indian Hills. Preservation of open space, resources, historic sites, the community’s rural character and the abundant wildlife are highly important to residents.

There are acres of open space, that support year-round outdoor activities, including cross country skiing, mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking and open-air concerts. Indian Hills, Colorado offers great vacation house rental and home rental-by-owner deals for the knowledgeable traveler. no matter what budget or level of comfort you seek.

Indian Hills residents are far from itinerant, and some have enjoyed the pleasure of living in the community for more than half a century. The Indian Hills Improvement Association is a voluntary not-for-profit association of residents whose purpose is to promote the general welfare of residents in Indian Hills. The I.H.I.A., first established in 1926, owns and maintaines the Community Center which is availabe for private as well as public meetings. The Association sponsors various events throughout the year.

If you’re in the market for a condominium, or an apartment, kindly look elsewhere, as these homestyles are not a part of the Indian Hills housing landscape. All toll, there are about 500 single-family housing units in Indian Hills, many duly classified as 7-figure palatial estates, and “For Sale” signs are rare.
