Montclair Denver Homes

In 1885 the Montclair Town and Improvement Company was formed, due east of downtown Denver, by a one Baron von Richthofen. The Baron decided that a refuge from early Denver's urban smog and congestion was needed. But early residents found jobs and services hard to come by. The Denver Tramway Company built four streetcar lines through the fledgling community in 1885, and a decade later the oldest neighborhood association in Denver was born. Today, Montclair real estate district, bound by 6th Avenue, and Colfax on the north; Quebec, and Holly on the west is a fine collection of historic homes and architecture, sought after by more than a few. Residents of Montclair enjoy quick access to shopping and dining establishments, with the recent addition of nearby Lowry "Town Center," along its eastern boarder.

Drawn to Montclair real estate district by its billing as a health resort, late 19th-century residents here built homes with open floor plans, and unenclosed porches, in keeping with this theme. Queen Anne, Foursquare and Neoclassical architecture remain the hallmark of structures still standing today In modern times additional styles including the Tudor, and ranches brought variety to the neighborhood. More recently Montclair real estate has seen a good deal of renovation and remodeling of older smaller homes bringing value and a greater selection to homebuying, in this historic community. Average sales prices run a little more than $300,000.
