The Community of Ruby Hill

Major street routes such as Interstate 25, Mississippi Avenue, and Evans Avenue traverse the community. The area is bounded by West Mississippi Avenue on the north and South Federal Boulevard on the west, west Evans on the south and Santa Fe on the east. Ruby Hill is named after the red-colored stones found along the scenic Platt River on the neighborhood’s eastern edge. One of Ruby Hill’s landmarks is the expansive Ruby Hill Park – South Platte River Drive and West Florida Ave – on the west bank of the Platt River, and a favorite destination for residents and visitors nationwide. During the winter, Ruby Hill Park is used as a snowboard terrain park. The high bluff in the park provides excellent views of the city of Denver. Overland Lake Park and golf course are across from Ruby Hill Park, on the east bank of the river. Residents enjoy easy access to major thruways and shopping in the Santa Fe district.
