Summit County Colorado
Summit County is home to four of Colorado's premier ski resorts, which
make it a favorable destination for both national and international
travelers. With an altitude varying from 8,000 - 14,000 feet, Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, and locals' favorite, Arapahoe
Basin, boast plenty of fresh powder during the winter. While skiing and
snowboarding are the main attraction, other winter recreational
activities, such as Nordic skiing, ice skating and snowmobiling, prevail
as well. All of this is less than 2 hours from Denver and the Denver
International Airport.
In addition, Summit County is gaining a reputation as a great summer
destination as well. Summers in the mountains maintain mild
temperatures, perfect for hiking, mountain biking and cycling. Many of
the hikes in Summit County provide expansive vistas. During late June
and July, take in the blooming alpine wildflowers or cast your fishing
line in one of the many lakes and rivers. Kayaking and sailing on Lake
Dillon is popular as well. The summer season is filled with festivals
and concerts. With it's international reputation, fine dining
opportunities are plentiful as well as cultural events.
Real estate in Summit County continues to maintain and even increase

set near lakes and rivers can be found in Frisco, Dillon and
