It allows you to visit tourist attractions around town without driving or walking. Some attractions are not available by the light rail but you can take the rail and walk a short distance to get there. It’s a fun and convenient way to travel around town. In fact, the city will be adding a service from the Denver International Airport to downtown’s Union Station coming in 2016. Here are the attractions easily accessible from the Light Rail.

The C, E, and W Lines

If you take the C, E, or W Lines you can get to Elitch Gardens or the Pepsi Center. The Pepsi Center is where the Colorado Avalanche hockey team and Denver Nuggets baseball team reside. There are plenty of concerts and events taking place at the Pepsi Center. The Elitch Gardens is a theme park downtown that offers thrilling rides, rollercoasters and the Island Kingdom water park.

On the same Lines of C, E, and W you can get to Union Station at the Union Station stop. This is the building to use if you need a connection to bus service and Amtrak services. Inside Union Station, you’ll find restaurants and shopping thanks to renovations earlier in 2014.

If you use the Sports Authority Field at Mile High stop, you’ll get to visit Sports Authority Field. This is where the Denver Broncos football team resides. You can also go to events and concerts here.

D, F, and H Lines

The D, F, and H Lines will allow you to visit the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Take the Theatre District & Convention Center stop. This is another concert hall with touring Broadway musicals and concerts by the Colorado Symphony.

C and D Lines

If you take the C and D lines and stop at Littleton/Mineral, you can access Aspen Grove Shopping Center. It is home to Eddie Bauer, Pottery Barn and Talbots. You can grab something to eat at their restaurants or visit the dinner and a movie Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.
