Cherry Hills Village - Most Affluent Community in the USA
The Wall Street Journal did a spotlight piece on Cherry Hills Village and called it "one of the most affluent communities in the USA." This is a wealthy neighborhood located just outside of Denver with many celebrity residents, such as Walter Isenberg, John Elway and Peyton Manning.
Peyton Manning didn't waste any time settling into this neighborhood after signing with the Denver Broncos and he wasn't the first. He joined many high-profile business owners and local athletes in one of the most luxurious neighborhoods in all of Colorado.
Cherry Hills Village is found about 20 minutes to the south of downtown Denver. It's only about 6.5 square miles and doesn't offer much shopping. With 25 miles of trails, 47 acres of parks and one very small retail center, this isn't a high-traffic area. However, many of the big names settle here, including Peyton Manning with his $4.58 million estate with over 16,000 square feet.
This elite subdivision also features homes from Denver Broncos Owner Pat Bowlen, telecom mogul Bob Magness, David Mandarich, former Broncos coach Mike Shanahan, Joe Sakic and John Sie. These are all huge names and just a handful of the high-profile residents. Not only do residents move into this neighborhood, but also they never leave. John Elway has stayed over 20 years and Mike Shanahan kept his house after becoming the coach of the Washington Redskins.
It's hard to find a home for sale in Cherry Hills Village and the home values stay consistent. The inventory is limited and sales are very low in the area. This has led to potential buyers writing letters to homeowners asking if they're willing to sell. However, since this area is so popular with the rich and famous of the area, it's not likely many will be leaving the area anytime soon.
