Restaurant Spotlight: Hodsons Bar and Grill
If you’re looking for a family restaurant everyone can enjoy, Hodsons may just be what you’re looking for. This restaurant has 2 locations making it convenient. The downtown Centennial location was established in 2010 in the SouthGlenn shopping center and the 2nd location was established in 2012 in Denver on 18th Street.
The appetizers have been known to be interesting including walnut bread, ahi tuna, bacon-wrapped shrimp, and even poached shrimp. These are some of the many to choose from and each appetizer is served with an interesting combination such as warm baked brie which is served with artisan cranberry and walnut bread.
In regards to entrees, some include butternut squash ravioli which is topped with candied walnuts and wild mushrooms, upgraded versions of different burgers, and a rack of lamb paired with a type of beet puree, vegetables and stone ground mustard. The traditional turkey burger slider even has a twist and is served with a sweet yet spicy sesame sauce and crunchy wantons.
For those 21 and over, enjoy adult beverages such as beer from local micro-brews, champagne, wine, and of course, hand-crafted cocktails. One of the very popular cocktails is the crème brulee martini. For the wine lovers, enjoy a wide array of wine from the driest reds to the sweetest blush wines and everything in between.
Desserts are just as classy and amazing as the rest of the food served here. The Black Forest cake is a chocolate mousse, cherry compote and offers a DIY spin on it making it unique to the Hodsons restaurant. They additionally offer a peach cobbler that is made to perfection each and every time.
