Civic Center Homes for Sale

Civic Center Real Estate
Civic Center is located at the intersection of perhaps the best-known and most important streets in Denver, Colfax Avenue and Broadway.
The Civic Center borders are defined as Bannock Street on the west, Lincoln Street on the east, Colfax Avenue on the north, and 14th Avenue on the south. The area is well known as the center of the civic life in Denver, with a number of institutions of art and government. Civic Center Park is also considered a center of cultural gatherings, including festivals, parades, and the occassional protest, throughout the year. Home to several fountains, statues, and formal gardens, it is well known for its symmetrical Neoclassical design.
Civic Center is also a “neighborhood”, as defined by the Denver city government, but the residental portion of the area is probably more readily identified by locals as the “Golden Triangle”. Bordered by Lincoln Street, Speer Boulevard, and Colfax Avenue, this small neighborhood has, over the years, transformed from a collection of Victorian-era row houses to become Denver’s arts and cultural center. Residents here literally own access to the amenities and world-class venues offered by the city, and pride in ownership plays a vital role in this unique neighborhood. Single-family homes and apartments are available, both of which are priced modestly.
Civic Center neighborhood is home to many of the city’s cultural destinations, including the Denver Art Museum, The Colorado Historical Society, and the Denver Public Library. On the lighter side, a good many of the local art galleries, restaurants, garden stores, coffee shops and clubs, also contribute immeasurably to the quality of life in the Civic Center neighborhood.
