Northglenn Real Estate
Northglenn's history dates all the way back to 1959. OK, it’s a youngster, especially compared with the old gold rush towns and trading posts of Colorado’s colorful past – but it’s old enough to have mature trees in the neighborhoods, and been around long enough to have developed a tangible sense of community.
Northglenn was built as a planned community where it could grow into a perfect place for industrial and commercial development conveniently located near the Denver Metropolitan area. Amenities such as community services, parks and open space were part of the plan from the start. The project received national acclaim from its inception. The city was incorporated in 1969 and the name officially changed from that of the original development, North Glenn, to Northglenn. The city now encompasses approximately 7.5 square miles, with a population of over 36,000 residents. Northglenn has a complete walk and bike trail system (over 20 miles) that allows you to travel in any direction through the city. With over 160 acres of parks and open space, and recreational facilities complete with both outdoor and indoor swimming pools, areas for playing tennis and softball, you will surely find a place to move about and get some exercise.
Northglenn’s strategic location allows for easy access to the entire Denver metro area, the city of Boulder, DIA, and the Rocky Mountains. Visitors and residents alike enjoy small neighborhoods, with close- in schools, convenient dining, and shopping opportunities.
